First Lady, motivational
speaker and recording artist Brenda K. Goudeaux was
born in Battle Creek, Michigan. She is the fifth of
nine children raised by loving parents. At a young age
she accepted Jesus Christ and has remained steadfast
in her dedication, love, and pursuit of God. In 1971,
while attending Sacramento City College she met a young
man by the name of Phillip Goudeaux whom became her
husband two years later. Her mission is to encourage,
build and motivate women; bringing them into the knowledge
of Jesus Christ.
In 1980, Brenda Goudeaux
co-founded Calvary Christian Center (CCC) with her husband,
Pastor Phillip G. Goudeaux. She is the founder, advisor
and principal educator of several faith based outreach
programs targeting women. In 1989 she opened the Women
Overcomers Residential Recovery Home, a shelter plus
care housing program that provides a safe haven for
women in recovery from drug addiction, physical and
mental abuse. Shortly after, she opened the House of
Ruth, a transitional living facility where valuable
life skills are taught and participants gain the wisdom
and confidence necessary to restore their lives and
regain their lost families.
In addition to the Women
Overcomers program and the House of Ruth, Brenda Goudeaux
is the founder of the Covenant Women’s Ministry,
a teaching ministry designed to address the spiritual
and social needs of women of all ages, ethnicities,
professions and walks of life. “It is my desire
for women to know the gloriousness of the gospel.”
In her powerful, yet compassionate messages, she teaches
women how to live victorious, abundant lives of peace
and prosperity through the wisdom of the Word of God.
In March of 2005, Brenda Goudeaux was awarded with an
honorary doctorate from Friends International Christian
University in recognition of her faithful service and
diligence to seeing the Word of God reach all mankind.
Brenda Goudeaux has had
a positive affect on the lives of people internationally.
She has spearheaded outreach in countries all over the
world, delivering the Word of God in England, New Zealand,
Ghana, West Africa, Fiji and Mexico. She is an advocate
for the family and champions family issues nationally
and worldwide. In January of 2005, Brenda Goudeaux participated
in the First Ladies Summit hosted by First Lady Laura
Bush.
Brenda Goudeaux is a
multi-talented businesswoman whose professionalism is
recognized in both Christian and business communities.
A successful entrepreneur, she has facilitated several
projects in resource management, fundraising, community
building and international relations. As an anointed
and accomplished soprano vocalist, she released her
first album in 1999 titled, “Make Me A Blessing”.
In 2000, Brenda Goudeaux became a published author with
her first book, “Love Is extolling the attributes
and character of God’s love”.
Along with these accomplishments, Brenda
Goudeaux is a loving and devoted mother of three: Kimetra,
Phillip II and Nehemiah. |
