World-renowned pastor, teacher, author and motivational speaker, Dr. Phillip G. Goudeaux was born on April 6, 1949 in San Francisco, CA. He grew up in North Sacramento, where he attended Norte Del Rio High School. After graduating from high school in 1967, Dr. Goudeaux enrolled in Sacramento City College. After obtaining his Associate of Arts Degree, he enrolled in California State University, Sacramento where he studied criminal justice with the prospects of continuing on to law school.

During his college years, Dr. Goudeaux pursued his interest in boxing, becoming a decorated amateur fighter. The discipline, stamina and tenacity he developed as a fighter created character and the emotional fortitude necessary for the awesome call that was placed on his life. In 1972, Dr. Goudeaux underwent a radical transformation when he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into his life. Once a militant member of the Black Panther Party, Dr. Goudeaux now devoted his energy and talent to the ministry of reconciliation and focused on bringing people of all ethnicities and cultures together.

In 1974, Dr. Goudeaux graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and chose to purse a career with Southern Pacific Railroad where he became the first African-American engineer in Southern Pacific's Northern California Division. In 1976 Dr. Goudeaux felt God's call on his life and responded to the call to the ministry. Four years later in 1980 he founded Calvary Christian Center. Calvary Christian Center began with 16 members, and today the membership is well over 17,000. It is touted as the one of the largest and fastest growing multicultural churches in California and the United States. In 1981, Dr. Goudeaux was awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology from Pacific Coast Bible College and he received an honorary Doctorate of Humanities from Northwest London University in 1987.

Dr. Goudeaux is recognized in business and Christian arena's and has received numerous awards for his contributions to Christian and business leadership locally, nationally and internationally. He was named "Christian Builder of the Year" by the Good Shepherd International Fellowship; awarded an honorary Doctorate of Human Letters from Friends International Christian University and received an award for excellence in spiritual guidance and outstanding leadership form Showers of Blessing Christian Center in North Carolina. Dr. Goudeaux founded Faith Alive Bible Training Institute, designed to equip laymen in the body of Christ for work in the ministry. Dr. Goudeaux has also founded the Fellowship Covenant Ministries International (FCMI), an international coalition of ministries and business organized to build the leadership capacity of pastors, businessmen and ministers through skill-building workshops and network opportunities.

As an advocate for the preservation of Christian family values, Dr. Goudeaux was appointed by President George H.W. Bush to serve as an Advisory Board member on the Committee for the Restoration of Black Families. Additionally, the Mayor and the City Council of Sacramento, CA. drafted a Resolution for the Betterment of Humanity honoring Dr. Goudeaux's contributions in building healthy communities in Sacramento. The California State Senate also honored Dr. Goudeaux in 1995 with a Certificate of Recognition for Faithful Ministry. As a committed Pastor, civic leader and international speaker, Dr. Goudeaux has received numerous civic and religious awards. They include: the 2006 President's Call to Service Award from the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation by President George W. Bush, the Outstanding Community Service Award from the Southwest Regional Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the Outstanding Community Service Award by Senator John T. Doolittle, and the International Convention of Faith Ministries (ICFM) District Director of the Year for 1990 and 1991.

Dr. Goudeaux's most recent endeavor is the creation of the Calvary Christian Center Destiny Ranch. Destiny Ranch combines academics, recreation, behavior modification and spirituality in a unique and spirited working ranch.

Calvary Christian Center has an established preschool and elementary school: The Infant/Toddler Option Program, and Nehemiah Christian Academy. 2007 also marked the year that CCC founded The School of Ministry, an intensive 2- year program aimed toward the goal of ordination and licensing men and women in ministry of the Gospel. From Hawaii to India Dr. Goudeaux is known all over the world through the "Faith Alive Television (FATV)" broadcasts and via the internet.

Dr. Goudeaux is the author of numerous books on faith, healing, prosperity, and the Holy Spirit. "Where are the Fathers?" is his best-selling book and workbook which takes a head-on approach to discussing the root cause of single parent homes and the absent father.

Along with these many accomplishments, Dr. Goudeaux is a committed and loving husband to his wife of 35 years, Dr. Brenda K. Goudeaux, and devoted father to their three children: Kimetra, Phillip II and Nehemiah. All of the Goudeaux children and their spouses (Marlon Ayers and Naomi Goudeaux) are faithful and committed members and leaders in the ministry along with Dr. Goudeaux.
